Google+ one year later

I have been on Google+ for more than a year now.  It was more fun before it opened up and anyone could join but not that much fun.  Google+ really did change my life.  Last year at this time business was slow for me.  This year it is much better.  I believe Google+ is the reason why home sales are up for me from last year.   After all it is the only thing about my business that I have changed . . .of course business was much better if 2006 . . but that doesn’t have anything to do with me or with Google+.  Heck Pinterest and Instagram were not even invented yet and Facebook was only open to those with a .edu email address. . . and it was a simpler time before the  Zillow zestimates caused the housing market to crash. . .I digress again . . please hang in there I do have  a point in here somewhere.

Amazingly I have not done much with my Google+ account.   Sometimes I “share” but not very often.  I know that Google+ is the future and now it is part of the past too.    I don’t know most of the 2,300+ people who have me in their circles and probably would not like them if I did because I am not a people person.  I do know some of the 197 people in my circles and  16 of them do not have real estate licenses and of those 16 there is only one who doesn’t have a spouse, neighbor or immediate family member who is a real estate agent.  I should probably let her know that I am a Realtor but she is already in 1021 real estate agents circles and I think she hangs with me because she sells photography books and classes and can tell that I need all the help I can get.

Google+ really is the perfect place for me.  I am not a people person and I rarely have to worry about interacting with anyone while I am on the site.

  1. Luckily, you are not alone…

from what I have seen the people who really love Google+ are fairly anti social. They like to post stuff but they are not into reading what others post or any kind of actual interaction. it seems to appeal to the folks who beta tested it and they are the same people who just loved the wave. Do you remember the wave? it was all that and more . .
