Don’t touch that mini . . .

The iPad mini was announced today.    Real estate agents are being advised that they should wait until there is a free webinar and a book on how to use the device before they attempt to use it in their business.  There is some concern that agents will not know what the best practices are for the industry and that some agents may actually lose the device because of it’s diminutive size and their lack of tech skills.

We all know what happened with the original iPad.   “They” said it wouldn’t work well for Realtors.  I used mine anyway and look what happened to me.   Some agents hurt themselves by attempting to use it without instruction and others actually used it in new and unique ways and chose apps that were not recommended by industry evangelists and assorted gurus.

It is alright to pre-order your mini but PLEASE don’t use it until someone shows you how.

  1. I just joined a three day conference, called MiniMizeMe (M3 to cool kids like you and me).

Is it safe to preorder as long as I don’t open the box until the conference?

You should be ok if you leave it alone until after you have had proper training. Be careful to use the right apps the right way.
