Since today is February 13th which is Valentines day eve I thought it would be an excellent time to write about passion.
The word ‘passion’ and the word ‘passionate’ used to have meaning but these days it seems like everyone claims to be passionate about what they do . . their jobs in particular. Having ‘passion’ or being ‘passionate’ is no longer special it is really pretty ordinary and the words are used way too often. In fact your passion for your job no longer impresses me. Try something new.
I am not buying it for a second that all of a sudden so many people have become ‘passionate’. I think people have forgotten what passion really feels like and what it means.
