Timeline is just for Realtors

Oh my there are so many topics for me to write about here on the weenie.  I was going to write about Realtor associations and the KKK first but I had to stop the presses.

Facebook is rolling out “Timeline”.

Timeline

Shortly after the video explaining Timeline was put on the Facebook site Todd Carpenter from the NAR asked us to consider how it should be used for real estate.  The experts have figured out how Realtors should use this new tool that Zuckerburg and his company created for us and are ready to teach us.

They have confirm that Timeline is just for Realtors.  Some have concluded that we will abuse it in much the same way we have abused the QR code, Twitter and our portraits not to mention what we have done with clip art and web sites because it is just too painful.  In  a nut shell we simply are not smart enough to exploit Timeline and use it to take our businesses to the next level.

There will be classes on the best practices at the annual convention this fall.  The first book on how to use Timeline to become the next Donald Trump is due to come out next week and you can of course hire an expert to speak to your association on how to take a real estate business from one transaction a year to 40 just by correctly using Timeline.

All of this leaves me scratching my head and wondering what this means for Google+.  Will they introduce the round Timeline?  If they do what will it mean to Realtors?

  1. What’s a “QR Code?” Is this something you didn’t tell me about?
