Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays!  2010 is almost over and it has been a stellar year for home sales for most Realtors.  I hope everyone invests all that money they made wisely and please donate some to charity.

It really is a wonderful time to be in real estate. 2011 promises to be another amazing year.  With that in mind I would like to invite you all . . both of my readers . . to leave your predictions for 2011.  I want to make a special weenie post from them and at the end of 2011 we can see how many predictions came to pass.  They can be related to the housing market, technology or social media . . which isn’t technology . . or use your imagination. . . you do have an imagination . . don’t you?

  1. I predict a direct correlation in the decline of real estate agents reported by NAR and the rise of social media gurus and/or experts revealed in a Twitter search.

I predict that there will be “students” who blindly listen to “experts”, regardless of these “experts” experience in any form of success which will cause the “students” to continue to fail and, in turn, cause me to go postal. So, basically, no change from the past few years.

I predict the haters will have a place to congregate and talk crap about everyone that surrounds them…..oh wait, I think there’s already a place for that 😉

  4. mariana says:

I predict that there will be low rates for most of the year. People will USE this to purchase investment properties to house all the people who were foreclosed on and can no longer buy. Therefore, non-owner occupied loans will increase and we will see more Property Management services pop up.

    1. Houses will have Energy Star ratings stickers on the windows like refrigerators.
    2. Tablet technologies will add a third dimension for vendors to contend with and it will be a stresser for them.
    3. More Twitter and Facebook presences will go dark as Realtors find the balance between new media and old.
    4. The Weenie will be spotted around cities and become a meme like Waldo.
    5. Someone from the re.net will win a medium sized lottery.

wow Lanie thanks! I am off to buy a lottery ticket and then update my facebook page.
