There are real estate companies that I like to call ‘agent collectors”. They offer large commission splits for their agents and a nice fat fee for their clients. They don’t give their agents anything not even supervision.
Agent collectors do us all a disservice as they help the least professional agents stay in business. Collectors are looking for licensed agents who can fog a mirror and if one agent doesn’t work out they will find another.
Agent collection is a business model. It isn’t sustainable, it is a race to the bottom. The commission splits to the agents go up as do the fees to consumers so that the brokerage can stay in business.
